Back in 2014, it was reported that Lou Williams, who was playing for the Toronto Raptors at the time, was dating two women. It was definitely baffling to hear about it, but the reports were true. Just recently, a Twitter user wanted to remind the world of Williams' bizarre love triangle. The NBA star acknowledged the tweet and told the user to mind their own business.

"I sure did, but it wasn’t these two. Mind ya business," Williams said.

Ashley Henderson and Rece Mitchell were the two women Lou Williams dated simultaneously back in 2014. According to The Sports Rush, both ladies were apparently aware of the situation and were oddly cool with it. We're assuming it had a lot to do with the fact that Henderson and Mitchell were both mothers of Williams' children, respectively.

Williams frequently laughed at how the public perceived their relationship. He hated having two girlfriends, but even worse, he hated how the media portrayed their ordeal. Many laughed at the polyamorous union, while others thought Williams wasn't treating the two women well.

He would then put some of the online chatter to rest by stating that both women were the mothers of his children and as such, he regarded them equally.

Many individuals were perplexed by the set-up, according to Basketball Network. Williams claimed in an interview with Taylor Rooks for Bleacher Report that he would have told the tale differently if he had his way rather than how the media spun it.

"People even thought they were sisters," Williams said. "I was like, 'That's ridiculous.' I didn't like the part where I couldn't control what was being said and how they were viewed. Both of those women are mothers of my children, not just some random girls I'm running around with."

The former Atlanta Hawks shooting guard apparently broke up with Anderson in 2020, but it did not stop him from giving advice to certain fans who wanted to know how to help their two girlfriends meet.

"It’s too late already. They gotta introduce you to them champ." Williams hilariously advised.

Did Lou Williams retire from the NBA?

Lou Williams' impending retirement became more and more likely after he was dealt by the LA Clippers to the Atlanta Hawks at the 2021 trade deadline. The NBA's all-time top reserve scorer had previously sworn to play out his career with the Clippers, implying that if they traded him, he would probably retire.

Williams acknowledged that after being traded to Atlanta, he thought about retiring, but the chance to continue his career in his hometown caused him to rethink that decision.

Williams reportedly told Sports Illustrated that he doesn't want to miss out on his children's development. Lou is unsure of how much longer he is willing to be on the road as his daughters progress in their respective sports and his youngest son grows up as well. Despite this, he has not ruled out playing another season, but it must be in a role that allows for his influence to be felt.
