Orlando Magic's Moe Wagner (L)

Orlando Magic's Moe Wagner was left temporarily unconscious during his team's 121-101 defeat to the Detroit Pistons after a physical altercation broke out. Players from both sides got into it after Wagner shoved Pistons guard Killian Hayes, who fell on Detroit's bench.

Hayes didn't hold back punches after his teammates surrounded Wagner and hit him in the back of his head as the Magic forward appeared to be knocked out. Wagner stood on his feet but was seemingly in pain as he walked back to the Magic bench.

Here's a clip of the incident:

Moe Wagner and Killian Hayes got ejected, along with the Pistons' Hamidou Diallo, who also played a part in the altercation. Meanwhile, it's widely speculated that many other players from both teams could face suspensions for escalating the issue further.

As per NBA.com, Franz Wagner, Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr., Gary Harris, Mo Bamba, R.J. Hampton, Terrence Ross and Admiral Schofield were among the players who were on the bench and rushed toward the Detroit Pistons bench when the altercation occurred.

Latest on Moe Wagner's injury update

After the game, Moe Wagner's brother and teammate Franz told reporters that the former was fine. There hasn't been any other official injury update for the Orlando Magic forward. Considering it was a fatal blow to the head, Wagner will likely undergo the league's concussion protocols and miss the next few games.

It seemed like a brutal hit and could've been a more serious injury that would've needed immediate medical attention. Wagner escaped standing on his two feet, so, fortunately, it looks like he could be back soon. However, it's too soon to conclude anything until the official reports are out.

Wagner got hit in a delicate area. The impact could be significant if he feels the effects of it later.

We will update the article once the Orlando Magic release their latest injury report on Wagner.
