Marcin Gortat is a veteran of the NBA, although his impact is still questionable. The Polish player was drafted in the second round of the 2005 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns, and the centre has also spent spells with the Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards.

The 34-year-old joined the Clippers back in June when he was traded for Austin Rivers, although he has yet to positively influence the team. Gortat has started 23 games this season, although he is managing a near career low of 5.3 points-per-game, and he is also recording his lowest number of rebounds (5.7) in seven seasons.

The centre has failed to develop a shot from behind the arc and his salary of $13,565,218 makes him one of the highest earners on the team. Gortat will become a free agent this summer, so once again, the Lakers need to trade away the player while they can get something in return.
