One of the major strengths of the Boston Celtics is their three-point shooting. The team is nicely filled with players who can knock them down from anywhere on the court and their three-point shooting has contributed a lot in their recent success.

However, playing against one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the league, the Celtics' three-point shooting deserted the team as they went 9-for-33 from long range, at a very paltry free-throw percentage of 27.3.

The Pistons, who are known for their stellar defense, have done a great job of putting bodies on the Celtics players and not allowing them to take any easy, uncontested three-point shots. In particular, six of their players, all who can shoot, combined for 0-for-20 from behind the arc. Marcus Smart was the only revelation as he went 5-for-7 from the three-point range.
