Nobody thought Sabonis was going to become this good this fast. He was an average to good prospect for the Thunder while he was there. But the moment he was traded alongside Victor Oladipo for Paul George, he has become a revelation. He had shown his upside last season, coming off the bench for the Pacers and being a stand-in for Myles Turner, who has been a disappointment of late. This season too, he has come off the bench for all but 1 game, yet he has become a more important player than Myles Turner already.

He has been averaging a career high in points, rebounds, assists, field goal % and free throw attempt made. He has been an absolute beast this season. His 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists per game at 65% shooting has been superb for the Pacers. He is almost running the second unit for the Pacers and there seems to be no stopping him. It seems to be an interesting matchup against the Kings tomorrow and look for Sabonis to have a great game again.
