Towns landed in early foul troubles and played only around eight minutes in the first half. He committed two fouls in the first quarter and the third one during the early second quarter which lead to him having sit on the bench. He just had two points at the end of the second quarter.
He came back in the third quarter and dominated the court. He scored 17 points in the quarter. He practically played with the Nets' bigs and scored five from the field. It was because of this dominating performance that the scoreline at the end of the 3rd quarter was 98-72.

Towns finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds in the game. He also had a single three-pointer in the game making it his 19th straight game with at least a single three-pointer.
