The most awaited game of the year is here. It is the defending champions, Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics. This will be the Warriors' fourth game of their five-game road trip and they will enter the TD Garden on a nine-game winning streak: their longest so far this season. This is also the first time the two powerhouses of their respective conferences will be competing against one another this season.

With a 34-14 win-loss record, the Warriors are currently at the top of the Western Conference Standings. With DeMarcus Cousins finally having made his debut last week, they are now starting all five All-Stars and opposition defences are seemingly helpless to thwart them.

Predicted Golden State Warriors' starting line-up:

Kevin Durant (F), Draymond Green (F), DeMarcus Cousins (F), Klay Thompson (G) and Stephen Curry (G)

Kyrie Irving is averaging 23.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 6.9 assists this season

The Boston Celtics have struggled and under-performed for the most part this season. After trying a lot of combinations, it seems as though Brad Stevens has finally found his preferred starting five. Currently on a five-game winning streak, they too will be high on confidence ahead of their clash against the Dubs.

Kyrie Irving missed their last game due to flu-like symptoms, but the C's did not find it difficult to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in his absence. Uncle Drew is expected to return against the Warriors and will definitely be key for the hosts, with the result being heavily dependent on how Kyrie performs. Al Horford will also return to the starting line-up after sitting out their 123-103 win over the Cavs.

Predicted Boston Celtics' starting line-up:

Jayson Tatum (F), Marcus Morris (F), Al Horford (C), Marcus Smart (G) and Kyrie Irving (G)

How the things might unfold

Yes, the Warriors are the NBA's best team and at times, it appears like they're in a different league of their own. However, things are not going to be plain sailing for them in Boston as the Celtics will be eager to continue their momentum going - particularly on their home floor.

It will be an exciting game to watch for basketball fans and you should expect this game to go down to the wire.

Prediction: Warriors for the close win
