NBA 2018-19: Predicted Starting Lineups and Match Prediction - Philadelphia 76ers vs Golden State Warriors
After conquering the opposition teams on the road with five straight wins, the Golden State Warriors will be at home and host the Philadelphia 76ers. The two teams have not faced each other so far this season and the Warriors will be looking to extend their huge eleven-game winning streak.
The Golden State Warriors' perspective
What can you say about this team? Is there any team in the league that will stop the Warriors from winning their third straight title? The team is back to winning ways and the opposition teams appear to be clueless.
DeMarcus Cousins has been solid since the day he made his debut for the team and they look invincible right now. Coming off a 32-point blowout win against the Pacers, the Warriors will be sky high on confidence. The commissioner should probably end the season right now and just hand them the Larry O'Brien trophy.
Predicted Golden State Warriors' starting line-up:
Kevin Durant (F), Draymond Green (F), DeMarcus Cousins (C), Klay Thompson (G) and Stephen Curry (G)
The Philadelphia 76ers' perspective
Joel Embiid is playing the best basketball of his career right now and is being an absolute beast on the court. He is averaging career-high 27.2 points and 13.3 rebounds per game to put together a double-double over the season.
The Sixers are at the fourth spot in East and even though Embiid is the main reason for that, stars like Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler also deserve a good amount of credit. After getting blown out by Denver Nuggets, the Sixers have secured a 16-point win against the Lakers.
After missing three games due to a wrist injury, Butler returned in the game against the Lakers and scored 20 points.
Predicted Philadelphia 76ers' starting line-up:
Wilson Chandler (F), Jimmy Butler (F/G), Joel Embiid (C), JJ Redick (G) and Ben Simmons (G)
How the things might unfold
With no injury concerns for both the teams, this will be a really good basketball game between two really good teams. You always get into the ring as underdogs when playing against the Warriors but this 76ers team can really surprise the Warriors as they have all the required talent to do that.
However, the Warriors are on an eleven-game winning streak and they are not showing any signs of slowing down. Also, the Warriors are playing at the Oracle Arena which will automatically make them the overwhelming favourites.
