Considered as "NBA's Strongest Man", Steven Adams was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2013 NBA Draft as the 12th overall pick. He is one of the heaviest guys in the league weighing 120 Kg (265 lb) and about 7 feet tall.

76ers star Jimmy Butler accused Adams of being from Krypton and Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks dubbed him as the strongest, most physical guy in the league.

Adams uses the technique of creating a strong base by keeping both feet on the ground. In an interview he explained,

"The thing is, like, mostly bigger stronger dudes, they tend to be slower. Especially against you, if you're not as strong as them you definitely, probably, more than likely, will be quicker than them. So you just use your angles to your advantage to get them out further. You just have to be as big and wide as possible to make those routes that he takes take a lot longer".
