Small Forward - Andrew Wiggins - 80

Andrew Wiggins deserves an increase in his NBA 2K22 rating. He has shown an increase in production on the defensive end under the mentorship of Draymond Green. Who was once below average on defense, Wiggins now locks up players on the perimeter and often guards the best wing player in the opposition. Wiggins' offensive numbers have taken a slight hit and that is understandable given he is playing with a scoring machine like Stephen Curry and it might go down further when Klay Thompson gets back.

Although his offensive rating in NBA 2K22 is not expected to increase by much, his three-point shooting and defensive numbers should certainly see an upgrade. He had the best shooting season of his career last season and was more efficient from the floor while also shooting at a better clip from beyond the arc.

Shooting Guard - Klay Thompson - 90

It is understandable that Klay Thompson's rating declined from 92 to 89 given he hasn't stepped foot in an NBA game since June 2019. He is coming off consecutive season-ending injuries and it will take a while before he adjusts to the game again. He ended 2K21 with an 89 rating and that is definitely bound to increase in NBA 2K22 when he comes back and starts dropping threes.

Klay Thompson's recovery is going at a good pace and he is projected to return around Christmas or Thanksgiving, which will be 13 months post his Achilles surgery. 2K Sports revealed that Thompson is the second-highest rated three-point shooter in NBA 2K22 with a 95 rating.

Point Guard - Stephen Curry - 96

Stephen Curry was everywhere in the 2020-21 NBA season. He surpassed Wilt Chamberlain as the Golden State Warriors' all-time leading scorer and also passed Guy Rodgers as the franchise's assist leader. He dropped 96 threes in the calendar month of April which broke the previous record by a whopping 14. Curry did all this while breaking his 54-point career-high, set in 2013, twice along with a 53-point outing. He won the 2021 3 Pt Contest and also led the league in scoring at age 33. Stephen Curry was also an MVP finalist and finished third in voting behind Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid.

Stephen Curry is the highest rated player in NBA 2K22 with a 96 rating and he shares that podium with Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. King James himself feels that Curry should be 99 and not 96 on NBA 2K22.
