#3 LA Clippers – 78.5
While the Brooklyn Nets have suffered with respect to this list due to a range of young players who are rated less than 74, the LA Clippers have managed to sneak into the top-3, and have only two players rated less than 74. Kawhi Leonard is deservedly the second-best player in the league with an overall of 95.
On the other hand, Paul George has been given a downgrade despite having a successful Playoffs series and is down to 88 from 90 in NBA 2K21. The rest of the LA Clippers roster has been rated between 74-80, giving them a slightly higher average rating than the Brooklyn Nets.
#2 Phoenix Suns – 78.6
The Phoenix Suns had one of the most-balanced rosters in the NBA last season and have two players rated 90 in the form of Chris Paul and Devin Booker. The 2021 NBA finalists have only Jalen Smith and Landry Shamet as the two players rated below 74 which has given them the second-best average player rating in NBA 2K22.
Paul’s performances last season earned him an upgrade of 2 while Devin Booker has also deservedly joined the 90-club for the first time in his NBA career. Deandre Ayton is the Phoenix Suns’ third best player with an overall of 86 with Mikal Bridges their fifth and final player with an overall of 80+(82).
#1 LA Lakers – 79.6
The LA Lakers have been on a veteran-acquiring spree in recent weeks and as a result have an average age of almost 31. They recently acquired DeAndre Jordan who has not been considered for this list. Russell Westbrook is rated 86, while LeBron James and Anthony Davis have ratings of 96 and 93.
Incidentally, the LA Lakers do not have a single player with a rating of less than 74 with a total of 11 players rated between 74-78. As a result, their average rating is almost 80, making them comprehensively the best team in NBA 2K22 with respect to average ratings.
