It is that time of the year when all basketball fans and analysts start talking about the All-Star Game snubs. Every year, we see a lot of good players getting snubbed and this year is no different.

The fans are already furious that they would not get to see their favourite players in the All-Star Game this year and from the moment the All-Star reserves were announced, the focus has shifted from the regular season games to the All-Star Game entirely.

This year will be the second time when the game's format will not be West vs East. It will be Team LeBron vs Team Giannis this time around and the event will be one of the most awaited ones for the basketball lovers. Last year, Team LeBron played Team Stephen and Team LeBron won the game, 148-145.

In this article, let us take a look at the top three snubs from this year's All-Star Game.

#3 D'Angelo Russell

There are no ifs and buts, D'Angelo Russell deserves to be in the All-Star Game for what he is doing on the court this year. He has been the Nets' best player by far and the team is currently with a winning record. He is averaging career-high numbers and the Nets are playoff-bound.

D'Angelo Russell did not make noise in the fans voting but it was expected he would get the nod, at least from the players and the media panel. Unfortunately that did not happen and Russell has to wait to make his All-Star debut.

However, with Victor Oladipo set to miss the All-Star Game due to injury, there is a slot open and Russell can still make it to the All-Star Game.

#2 Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic is a rookie and if you have been watching the way he has been playing all season long, you would ask yourself this one question: "Is he really a rookie?"

The European sensation has taken the basketball world by storm and has already became the Dallas Mavericks' best player, just in his rookie season.

Doncic is averaging 20.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game and is expected to be the unanimous Rookie of the Year. The 19-year-old has all kinds of moves in his arsenal but one move that has caught the attention of basketball viewers is his stepback three-pointer.

He has been breaking ankles with that move all season long and is such a good sight to watch him pull off that move out of nowhere. The forward received 3,301,825 fan votes which is more than the number of votes received by players like Kevin Durant and Paul George.

#1 Derrick Rose

Without a shadow of doubt, this has to be the biggest snub at the All-Star Game this year. Derrick Rose is having a terrific comeback season and is playing lights out basketball. The fans and everyone around the league is happy for the 30-year-old and many of them even considered him a lock at this year's All-Star Game.

Rose's heroics this season include his career-high 50-point game against the team that waived him, the Utah Jazz. Rose also had a game-winning block to cap off his legendary night.

When the third and final returns of the All-Star voting were in, with 2,712,938 votes, Rose received more votes than star guards like Westbrook and Harden. It came as a shock when the final All-Star results were announced yesterday, and we might never see Rose once again in an All-Star Game.
