The Raptors have been fighting for the top spot in the Eastern Conference this season and are currently 2nd with a 48-20 record.

They have won 6 of their last 10 matches and are just 3 games behind the leaders, Milwaukee Bucks. One of their biggest pluses this season has been the emergence of Pascal Siakam. Siakam changed his roles from a bench role player to one of the starting 5 players who plays somewhat like a point-forward rather than a power forward.

He has averaged 16.4 points a game, along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists a game and has almost a block and a steal to his name. He is with a shout for the Most Improved Player of year and is one of the leading candidates. In the loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Siakam was not his efficient self, scoring 15 points off 46% shooting in 29 minutes. He had 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal to go with it but was not enough. The Raptors will need him at his best against the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow.
