Utah Jazz has had a resurgence of late, with Gobert dominating at center

The Utah Jazz had a woeful start to their season, with everyone questioning what has been going wrong. They got Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell back after they healed from a few niggling injuries and have been unstoppable since then. They are currently eighth in the Western Conference with 37-29 record but find themselves just 3.5 games back from OKC, who they lost to on Monday night.

Gobert has been one of the biggest snubs of the All-Star game and he has been playing great this season too - averaging 15.3 points and 12.8 rebounds per game. His assist numbers are not great but he is an excellent defender and is in contention to retain the league's Defensive Player of the Year accolade which the Frenchman won last June.

Averaging 0.8 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, he has been fantastic while protecting the rim - even managing 15 points (62% shooting), 12 rebounds, four blocks and a steal in 35 minutes against the Thunder. He could not get the win that night but the Jazz will be hoping he steps up big time against the unpredictable Phoenix Suns tomorrow.
