#3 Los Angeles Lakers
After a horrific time playing for the Cavaliers, Isaiah Thomas seemed to have somewhat reached a good run of form and fitness after being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in the middle of the 2017/18 NBA season.
Although the Lakers signed Rondo on to a one year deal, Isaiah Thomas could still be a very important part in a playoff run for the Lakers this season. Coming off the bench for the Lakers Isaiah averaged 15.6 points per game last season and could continue to work as a player to run the scoring for the bench unit while players such as LeBron take rest. It would be similar to the role Lou Williams has locked down at fellow LA team, the Clippers.
If Thomas can swallow his pride and accept that he is no longer that 30 points per game player he was in his prime at Boston, he could earn his spot on a challenging playoff team by adapting to a new role through the second unit.
