The biggest name of the 2019 free agency could possibly be a free agent in 2021. Kawhi signed a 3-year, $103 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers and brought Paul George alongside with him through a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kawhi won't be an unrestricted free agent directly in 2021, he has a player option for that year if he chooses to come back for another year before hitting the market in 2022. Either way, it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of years.

Does he help bring a championship (or two) to LA? Or does his plan of teaming up with another All-Star fall apart and one of them is traded off to a different team? The Clippers now have two large contracts to handle, plus smaller contracts that include Patrick Beverley, Rodney McGruder, Ivica Zubac, and more. Could they add another star down the road? Absolutely, and it should be something to keep an eye out for.
