Blake Griffin is the number three player on the list for most injury-prone players in the NBA right now. Blake Griffin was one of the most explosive players in the NBA when he came into the league in 2009. The six-time All-Star has recently been plagued with NBA injuries and has not quite been the same.

Blake Griffin underwent surgery on his left knee early this year. Prior to the surgery, it was clear that his knee was impacting his performance on the court. In the 2019-20 season, Griffin averaged a career-low of 15.5 points per game.

#2 Gordan Hayward

Gordon Hayward may have the worst luck when it comes to NBA injuries. Gordon has played in just half of the regular-season NBA games over the last three years.

The All-Star's NBA injuries history began with the Boston Celtics after signing with them in 2017. On opening night, Hayward suffered a freak injury where he dislocated his left ankle and fractured his left tibia, causing him to miss the season's entirety.

Post Hayward's sickening ankle Injury, he continued to struggle to stay on the court. The Butler Bulldog missed 12 of the 2019-20 NBA playoff games with a nagging ankle injury that was non-related to his previous issue.

Just earlier this month, Hayward suffered from an avulsion fracture in the fifth finger on his right hand during an NBA preseason game with his new team, the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets will hope that their new $120 million signing has seen the last of his NBA injuries.

NBA injuries: Top injury-prone player - Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose

Sadly, Derrick Rose will be the top-ranked most injury-prone player for the remainder of his career. Rose, who is the youngest player to ever win an MVP at the age of 22, is one of the biggest 'what-ifs' in NBA history.

Rose's NBA injury history began in 2012 when he tore his left ACL in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Philadelphia 76ers. That injury was career-altering for Rose as he went through delays in the rehab process and never returned with the same explosiveness.

The 2008 first draft pick, later on, went on to tear his medial meniscus in 2013, but this time in his right knee. He retore his right meniscus again just two years later, in 2015.

Rose was forced to bounce around from team-to-team due to his NBA Injuries. He is currently on the Pistons, where he dealt with an on-and-off groin injury.

Having Derrick Rose healthy is good all-around for the NBA due to his fun-to-watch playstyle. NBA fans are hoping Rose has seen the last of his NBA injuries.
