Nicolas Batum’s 23 points and Jeremy Lin’s 21 points on the night helped the Charlotte Horners defeat the Brooklyn Nets by 5 points at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Monday night.

However, the real star of the night was Brook Lopez who netted 29 points for the hosts but in the end, it went in vain.

Miami Heat 113-99 New Orleans Pelicans

Venue:Smoothie King Center, New Orleans

Led by Dwayne Wade’s 25 points and Justice Winslow’s 21 points, the Miami Heat inflicted a 14-point loss on the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night.Jrue Holiday starred on the night for the hosts with 24 points and was well supported by Luke Babbitt who netted 23 points but those exploits couldn't prevent the visitors from romping home to a 14-point win over their Eastern Conference rival.

Houston Rockets 107-111 Oklahoma City Thunder

Venue:Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant netted 25 and 23 points respectively as the Oklahoma City Thunder registered their 5th consecutive victory, in front of their home fans against the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

James Harden was the star for the visitors, scoring 24 points on the night while Dwight Howards scored 16 points but couldn't prevent their side from going down for a second consecutive time.

Memphis Grizzlies 100-107 Los Angeles Lakers

Venue:Staples Center, Los Angeles

Jordan Clarkson netted 22 points and was well supported by Kobe Bryant with 20 points as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 107-100 to register only their 10th victory of the season on home turf.

Tony Allen was sensational for the Grizzlies with 27 points on the night but found little support from other quarters and they fell short by 7 in the end.
