Joel Embiid only played in two games last week. But he had about as impressive of a two-game stretch as humanly possible. Embiid tallied 101 points over back-to-back nights. He scored 42 points in a win over the Atlanta Hawks followed by a career-high 59 points in a win over the Utah Jazz.

In the game versus the Jazz, Embiid also tallied 11 rebounds, eight assists and seven blocks in addition to his 59 points. In doing so, he became the first player in NBA history to put up those numbers in a single game.

Following Embiid's impressive two-game week, the Sixers are back at .500 (7-7). Embiid is also up to third in the league in scoring (32.3PPG). If Embiid can keep dominating moving forward, he should be able to firmly enter the MVP discussion as many expected before the season.
