Markelle Fultz was selected with the first overall pick of the 2017 draft, although injuries have restricted the 21-year-old to just 33 appearances over two seasons. Fultz has also struggled for form during his limited time on the court, and the Philadelphia 76ers sent him to the Orlando Magic ahead of the trade deadline.

Fultz has yet to make his debut for the Magic, although during an interview with Roy Parry of the Orlando Sentinel, team president Jeff Weltman revealed that the point guard was making good progress:

I’m not going to put a timetable on it, as we haven’t before, but he continues to work hard and make progress. He’s got everything that it takes to be a great player in this league.

Fultz is expected to be a starter upon his return and will be part of a young roster that includes Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba, and Jonathan Isaac.
