DeMarcus Cousins could still return this season

DeMarcus Cousins suffered a quad injury during Game 2 of the Warriors' first-round series with the Clippers. The All-Star was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the season, and it appeared that Cousins had made his final appearance in a Golden State jersey.

However, Mercury News is reporting that Cousins recently started participating in light shooting drills, and Steve Kerr believes that the 28-year-old could still feature in the playoffs:

It's a possibility he could be back (Damian Jones). Same with DeMarcus. Kerr said on Sunday. He's coming along pretty well. We'll just wait and see.
After failing to receive any major contract offers last summer, Cousins signed a one-year $5.3 million deal with the Warriors. During the regular season, Cousins averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game and the center is expected to exit the team following the completion of the postseason.
