Gerald Green has been a key figure in Mike D'Antoni's rotation since returning to the Houston Rockets for a second stint in December of 2017. However, Green was injured during Thursday's preseason game against the Toronto Raptors, and ESPN is reporting that he will miss considerable time with a foot injury:

Houston Rockets reserve swingman Gerald Green is believed to have suffered a broken left foot and is expected to miss an extended stretch, league sources confirmed. If he needs surgery, Green will likely be sidelined for a few months.

Green played 73 times during the 2018-19 season, averaging 9.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest. The Rockets are already short on depth heading into the new season, so it is possible that the team could sign a replacement wing.
