After spending four years with UCF, Tacko Fall went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. Nevertheless, the Boston Celtics subsequently signed the center and he went on to impress during the Summer League. Fall is hoping to make the Celtics' final roster for the upcoming season, and the 23-year-old once again impressed during Boston's pre-season opener.

Fall had to wait until the fourth quarter to check into the Celtics' matchup against the Charlotte Hornets, although the 7-foot-7 center managed five points, three rebounds, and two blocks during his eight minutes of action.

While Fall could still be cut by the Celtics, head coach Brad Stevens backed the rookie to enjoy a lengthy career:

I just hope people continue to appreciate him for what he is as a person and how hard he's working to try to make it to the NBA. Because he's a really good kid and he's really, really working hard, I think he's going to be in the NBA for a long time.

Fall is currently signed to an Exhibit 10 deal and the Celtics have one open roster spot heading into the new season.
