Terry Rozier and the New York Knicks have a mutual interest
Over recent months, Terry Rozier has expressed his desire to leave the Boston Celtics in order to secure a starting berth, and Marc Berman of the NY Post is reporting that the New York Knicks are interested in signing the 25-year-old:
•
If he becomes an unrestricted free agent, Knicks’ point guard target Terry Rozier is open to taking a short-term one or two-year deal.
Berman's report states that Rozier also has interest in heading to the Knicks, although the deal could depend on the Celtics' ability to complete their proposed deal for Kemba Walker.
Rozier has spent the past two seasons playing backup to Kyrie Irving, although the point guard demonstrated his ability to lead a team during the 2018 playoffs, as he averaged 16.5 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game.
