Following unsuccessful discussions to convince Anthony Davis to commit his future to the franchise, the New Orleans Pelicans are looking to trade away their six-time All-Star. The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are currently in discussions with the Pelicans, although Davis' agent Rich Paul has warned the Celtics that the 26-year-old won't stay beyond 2020:

They can trade for him, but it’ll be for one year. I mean: If the Celtics traded for Anthony Davis, we would go there and we would abide by our contractual [obligations] and we would go into free agency in 2020. I’ve stated that to them. But in the event that he decides to walk away and you give away assets? Don’t blame Rich Paul.

Davis has spent his entire career with the Pelicans but wants to leave due to the Pelicans' inability to compete.
