Josh Richardson has spent the past four seasons with the Miami Heat, although the 25-year-old shooting guard will link up with the Philadelphia 76ers for the upcoming campaign after being included in the deal that sent Jimmy Butler to Miami.

Regarding the move, Richardson told the Miami Herald that he was surprised to be included, but was looking forward to playing on a contending team:

I got excited once I saw our roster that we’re going to be working with, and I think we’ve got a good chance to come out of the East. And I’m excited to be able to go and play for a contender.

The 18-19 NBA season was the best of Richardson's career as he averaged 16.6 points, 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game.
