NBA: Philadelphia 76ers release Royce White

Washington - The Philadelphia 76ers have released Royce White, who came to Philadelphia in a trade with Houston Rockets three months ago, from their squad.

“Good luck to my boys, great guys,” tweeted White, reports Xinhua.

The 22-year-old power forward was the 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft. The Rockets had high expectations from the talented rookie but White refused to follow the travelling schedule of the team because of his anxiety disorder.

White had played five pre-season games for the 76ers, averaging 5.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
