NBA Predictions: Predicting Boston Celtics vs Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta Hawks (14-30) vs Boston Celtics (27-18), State Farm Arena, 7:30 pm ET
The Hawks are coming off a massive victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder, whereas the Celtics beat the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
With that in mind, Let us see how things stand for both teams ahead of the clash tonight.
The Atlanta Hawks' perspective
The Hawks have won two games of their last three, and these victories have not been against easy teams but the 76ers and OKC.
The Hawks were too good against the OKC at home on Tuesday. John Collins and Trae Young have been doing good for them. The pair scored 26 and 24 points respectively but have been listed questionable for tonight due to illness.
The Hawks are currently 14-30 for the season and sitting on the 12th place in the East. If Hawks wish to upset the in-form Boston Celtics team, then Collins and Young need to play tonight.
The Boston Celtics' perspective
The Celtics are back to winning ways with wins against the Raptors and the Grizzlies. However, they are back on the road where they have proved to be vulnerable.
Their last two games saw Kyrie Irving scoring big numbers and lifting the team with his leadership qualities. He will be a crucial factor tonight on the road.
Also, Jason Tatum had just 2 points in 29 minutes in the last game. He would be willing to turn the stats around in his favour tonight.
Last time the Celtics were on the road, the Brooklyn Nets beat them. They are not good away from home and will be willing to change that notion.
Trae Young- Questionable
John Collins- Questionable
Jabari Bird- Out
How things might unfold
The Hawks are in a great form lately and will be full of confidence after upsetting a few big teams. They are well rested and will be itching to go back to the court.
The Celtics are playing back to back and will be on the road. On paper, they may look better than the Hawks, but a lot of other things are not in favour of them.
I predict an upset tonight if Trae Young and John Collins both play the game.
