#1 Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are desperate to add a second star to play alongside Jimmy Butler, although much of the NBA's top talent cannot be traded until December 15 because of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This limits the Heat's early-season options to a handful of talent, and Drummond is among the most distinguished.
The Heat parted ways with Hassan Whiteside over the summer, and while Bam Adebayo could eventually develop into an All-Star, Butler recently turned 30 and is in need of a ready-made star.
Drummond's arrival would instantly put the Heat among the contenders in the East, although Detroit would demand the promising duo of Adebayo and Justise Winslow. Miami would also need to send another high-earner to Detroit to stay under the salary cap, although with the clock ticking, a move for Drummond could be among their best options.
