Sometimes you don’t know what you are missing until it's gone. That could be the situation with the LA Lakers and their former forward Kyle Kuzma. Per veteran NBA writer Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Lakers have inquired about their former player, who plays for the Washington Wizards.

Kuzma is having a career year in Washington, averaging a career-high 21.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

The Lakers (11-16) have lost four of their last five games after what looked like a potential turnaround for their season, when they went 8-2. Kuzma could add scoring punch to their starting lineup.

There has been speculation about the Lakers making a move to bolster their lineup as they try to get back to competing for a championship. To get the most out of LeBron James’ last few years, the team will definitely need to improve. Kuzma is familiar with a lot of the players there as he was a member of the 2019-2020 team that won the NBA title.

Now that Kyle Kuzma has began to blossom into the player they thought they had is it time to try to bring him back? A lineup where Anthony Davis is playing center and Kuzma at the power forward position could be dangerous.

Kuzma, an All-Pac-12 selection at Utah, was the 27th pick in the 2017 draft by the Brooklyn Nets, who moved him to the Lakers as part of a draft-night trade. He made the All-Rookie team after averaging 16.1 ppg and 6.3 rpg. He spent four seasons with the Lakers.
