Pun Club of Pokhara, beautiful city of the western Nepal, defeated SOS Club 69 – 39 to lift the title of the 1st Nepal Open Inter-Club Basketball Tournament which was organized by Dudhpokhari Tamu Yuwa Samiti. The tournament was the first edition and was organized in Pokhara in western part of Nepal. Pun Club dominated all the quarters to thrash SOS Club to win the inaugural title. Heman Pun of the Pun Club was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
Total of 16 teams were invited to participate in the inaugural edition of the tournament. It is the one of the biggest basketball tournament organized in beautiful city of Pokhara in the western part of Nepal. The tournament was organized in the knock-out format.
The organizers hope to organize the tournament annually and hoped to make the tournament as the best and biggest basketball tournament in Nepal. The organizers and the officials of the District Sports Committee gave away prizes to the winners and runners up team.
