NBA fans marveled over Giannis Antetokounmpo's impossible assists to Gary Trent Jr. in a 118-113 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. In the last seconds of the first quarter, when Antetokounmpo almost turned the ball over, he made a dive and passed the ball in the air to Trent, who made the corner 3-pointer.

Reacting to the video, some fans took an indirect shot at MVP front-runner Nikola Jokic.

"A certain fat Serbian could never," a fan wrote.

Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to win another MVP

Giannis Antetokounmpo won back-to-back MVPs in 2019 and 2020. Since then Nikola Jokic has won three and Joel Embiid has won one. This season, the Bucks star is in the race again, right behind the race leader Nikola Jokic.

Giannis wants it again. Right after turning 30, the Bucks star told Yahoo Sports that he wants to win the award again and if he gets one, he might be emotional. He wants to be talked about as one of the greatest.

"Yeah, that definitely might put tears in my eyes," Antetokounmpo said. “I do want to be part of that conversation. It lets me know I was able to help my team, carry my team, solidified (us as a team).
"I'm not gonna lie, it definitely means something to me."

However, the two-time MVP has serious doubts over the possibility of another award. Antetokounmpo revealed that he had a conversation with his brother and told his brother that he might never win the award again.

“I’m having better years than the years I won it," he said. "But, hey, the league is improving, guys are playing very, very well.”

Since winning his last MVP in 2020, Giannis Antetokounmpo has finished among the top four in MVP voting each season. This season, the Bucks star is averaging a career-high 32.5 points per game. Giannis is also averaging 11.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.
