Some comments, meanwhile, touted how the arrival of 'CP3' in the Alamo could change the fortunes of the team.

"Okay this spurs team might be a problem with cp running the pg spot," one fan asserted.
Another user laid down, "A good mix and could be something solid to watch. One things for sure, CP III will make sure Wembanyama gets the ball at the right time and right spot. Previously, the other players refused to see Wemby, CP will elevate him to that superstar player."
"As a Spurs fan this team will improve vastly because of CP3. If he & Wemby have that che on the court a lot of people think it's going to be tough on opposing teams. I think the max #of wins is 45. Realistically I think they'll have 38-39 wins,"istill another one wrote.

Then there were fans who were excited for the second year of French tower Victor Wembanyama.

"Wemby gonna cook and we will be there to watch," an excited fan said.

Another user wrote, 'Wemby bouta be a top 10 player in year 2..."

Then there were some who threw in their projections for the team next season.

"Celing: 2nd round, Floor: Play in," one fan predicted it.
"'40 wins at least,' another user projected."

Last season, despite the immense promise showed by Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs struggled to a 22-60 record, finishing 14th in the 15-team Western Conference.

Chris Paul excited to do his part in unlocking full potential of Victor Wembanyama

Chris Paul decided to take his talents to San Antonio Spurs this offseason to have the opportunity to play alongside and help develop a top talent like Victor Wembanyama.

'CP3,' now 39 years-old, agreed to a one-year $10.5-million with the Spurs after playing for the Golden State Warriors in 2023-24.

In a press conference held upon his arrival in San Antonio, Paul spoke about what excites him playing with Wembanyama and the Spurs, saying:

"There's no player in the league that everybody talks about more after the game [than Wembanyama]. Me and Harrsion [Barnes] were on our flight talking about how cool it's going to be at this point of our careers to get a chance to appreciate him day in and day out."

In his rookie season, Victor Wembanyama compiled averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 3.6 blocks and 1.2 steals across 71 games. He finished second for the defensive player of the year award.
