Anthony Davis revealed that critics haven't impacted him over the last two years. The LA Lakers superstar big has been on a tear lately. He shut down the noise and played to his potential or even beyond that over the last ten games. AD is averaging 34.2 points, 15.4 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game during that stretch.
He has shot 63.3% from the floor, 41.7% from 3-point range and 86.4% from the charity stripe. Speaking about his stellar run and shutting down his critics, Davis told Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports:
"People who talk who don't know the game — fans, whoever it is. My job is to go play basketball. I know what I'm capable of doing.
"There were two injuries I couldn't control. Somebody getting pushed into my knee or falling into my knee, and landed on someone's foot. I know I'm comfortable with my game. I know the things I'm able to do on the basketball court. And I let my game speak for itself. Everyone who's talking can do whatever they have to do."
Davis has indeed let his game do the talking. He is arguably the best player in the league right now, considering his efficiency on both ends of the floor. AD has also looked healthy during this stretch, which hasn't been the case over the last two seasons.
Injuries have limited him from performing to his potential, which directly hampered the Lakers' results. However, with the former Pelicans forward firing on all cylinders, the Lakers seem to have turned things around. After recording a 2-10 start, LA is currently on an 8-2 run in their last 10 games, and AD has been responsible for the turnaround.

Anthony Davis' back-to-back 40-point outings help Lakers get off to a 2-0 start on their current road trip
Anthony Davis continued his scintillating form on the road for the LA Lakers. The team has gotten off to a 2-0 start on their six-game East Coast road trip. The Lakers have beaten the Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards, thanks to Davis' 40-point outings in both games.
AD outduelled Giannis Antetokounmpo during the Lakers' 133-129 win over the Bucks on Friday. The former registered 44 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks on 66.7% field-goal shooting. Davis topped that performance with a Lakers career-high 55-point effort in the 130-119 blowout win over the Wizards on Sunday.
The Lakers were predicted to win one game against the lowly-ranked Detroit Pistons during this road trip. However, Davis put the team on his back and willed them to a win in their first two games. His presence on the court has benefitted his teammates to thrive, helping the Lakers perform better as a unit.
Anthony Davis is inching closer to being included in the MVP conversation with every game. The Lakers are also nearing the .500 mark for the first time this season. They will need AD to continue doing his thing to extend their winning run on this road trip and return home with a winning record.
