Minnesota Governor Tim Walz also got swept up in the fun. When fans tweeted at him to make this the slogan, he provided a simple response.

Anthony Edwards continued his ascent towards superstardom this postseason as the Timberwolves remain in the hunt for the NBA title. After taking down the reigning champions, they've reached the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2004. Their next opponent is the Dallas Mavericks, with the winner punching their ticket for the NBA Finals.

The Timberwolves are slated to begin their series with the Mavericks on Wednesday, May 22nd.

What sparked Anthony Edwards' 'Bring Your A**' comment?

Anthony Edwards' viral comment came during his postgame interview with the "Inside the NBA" crew following Game 7. It was a quick exchange between the Minnesota Timberwolves star and Charles Barkley.

While speaking with Edwards, Barkley mentioned that it had been nearly 20 years since he visited Minnesota. The All-Star guard promptly cut him off, insisting that he return now that the Timberwolves are in the conference finals.

"Bring ya a**," Edwards told Barkley.

Over the past month, there have been endless debates about Anthony Edwards becoming one of the next faces of the NBA. Moments like this are a testament to why he is brought up in such conversations. Along with putting up star-level numbers, he has a vibrant personality that fans love to see.

Edwards had his struggles offensively in Game 7 but still put together an all-around performance to help his team win. He finished the game with 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals on 6-for-24 shooting.

Karl-Anthony Towns was among the top performers for Minnesota, posting a team-high 23 points.

Despite his shooting struggles in Game 7, Edwards played an important role for the Timberwolves against the Nuggets. During the series, he averaged 27.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists while shooting 50%. Edwards will now aim to extend his momentum into the conference finals against Luka Doncic and the Mavericks.
