Kyrie Irving is waiting to make his return to the court. But will that be with the Brooklyn Nets? That's the million-dollar question.

Irving has been in the news over the years for his antics off the court. His latest instance could be the last straw for the Nets organization. The superstar point guard was suspended for a minimum of five games after his social media post promoting an antisemitic documentary.

When the Nets decided to suspend Kyrie, the season was taking a dark turn. The team had a record of 2-6 and had just lost four of its last five games. Since Irving's suspension, Brooklyn has shown signs of life. The Nets have won three of their last four games and are starting to find their groove.

Speculation continues to surround Irving and his future with the Nets. Former teammate LeBron James supported Irving on social media on Thursday, tweeting that it's time to bring Kyrie back in the league. NBA analyst Zach Lowe of ESPN shared an interesting tidbit on a recent episode of "The Lowe Post" podcast.

"Maybe he just said it because he believes and there's nothing else to it," Lowe said. "I can tell you around the league and even within the Lakers, some corners of it, those comments were read as LeBron opening the door to 'Hey, if you all are comfortable with it and all the blowback it would be and the Nets are willing to just get out of the business now of Kyrie Irving so we can get him for much cheaper."

Can the Brooklyn Nets find a suitor for Kyrie Irving?

Kyrie Irving's tenure with the Brooklyn Nets has been full of distractions. With the recent suspension, it could finally be time for the organization to part ways with their superstar point guard.

There's no denying that Irving still has the talent to be a force on the NBA court. But any opposing team that might be interested in Kyrie will know that there will be some risk involved.

The LA Lakers have consistently been connected to Irving, going back to this summer. It might be the best potential outcome for both parties, as Irving would reunite with LeBron James. The two have shared the court together, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 championship.

Despite his history of issues off the court, Irving would be a massive boost for the LA Lakers. Los Angeles has struggled producing on the offensive side of the ball. Irving has been one of the top offensive point guards in the game throughout his career.

When it comes to the betting public, the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks have been mentioned as the other favorites to trade for Irving. Both teams have veteran pieces on their rosters, meaning that there would be some stability for Irving. Miami would be especially interesting, as they've struggled with their play to start this season.

Irving picked up his player option for the season this summer, meaning he will be an unrestricted free agent after the season. So far, Irving is averaging 26.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
