Brandon Ingram showcases aggressive mindset after Pelicans' win over Clippers - "We wanna attack 'em"

New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram seems more than motivated to lead his team to the playoffs this season. In a tremendous 122-114 win against the LA Clippers on Saturday, Ingram highlighted the mentality of the young team when playing against stars.

Brandon Ingram has once again been the Pelicans' beacon of hope. With Zion Williamson recovering from injury, Ingram has shone like a star in New Orleans.Although Ingram has also had his fair share of run-ins with injury this season, he has looked the part as a star for the team.

Coming up with big shots in clutch situations, the youngster has worked his way into becoming a leader for the team. This aspect of his game revealed itself during Saturday's game against the LA Clippers.

New Orleans' ability to rise above adversity has been heartening. However, their approach towards facing the best head-on is what truly makes them dangerous. Ingram highlighted this mentality in the win against LA, saying:

"That's what we play for. Look at the stars in the league. The guys that have done this thing before and done it the right way. We wanna attack 'em. If you want to be the best, you got to go against the best, and you got to beat 'em. That's one thing that was in my head, and I just tried to get this win tonight."

Ingram still emphasized that the win was a team effort. However, his ability to take over games has made him look like a star performer and closer.

With the Pelicans making sure that they compete in every game and fulfills Zion Williamson's challenge to the team, they look like a force to be reckoned with.

Brandon Ingram took Kawhi Leonard head-on

Saturday's game between the LA Clippers and the New Orleans Pelicans saw an intense battle between Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard and Pelicans star Brandon Ingram. Considering that the two often took turns guarding each other diuring the game, fans were in for an intense matchup.

Leonard has been inconsistent recently. However, he brought his A-game against the Pels. Notching up 40 points, eight rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes, Leonard single-handedly kept the Clippers' hopes alive. However, Ingram had the last laugh, as he racked up 36 points of his own with four rebounds and eight assists.

Considering that every game this season has been a "must-win" for the Pelicans, Ingram led the charge while hitting some huge shots down the stretch. Ingram created enough opportunities for his team to come away with the W.
