LeBron James' son Bronny James just started his NBA career and his name is already making the rounds outside the league. The rookie guard received a shout out by rapper Stove God Cooks on Westside Gunn's posse cut 'Still Playing' released on Friday.
Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine start the song before Conway and Stove God Cooks continue with the second verse. The latter then has the third verse, the chorus, the bridge, the refrain and the fourth verse, which is when he mentions Bronny (3:47 mark):
My first brick, made me feel godly (Made me feel God)
My tenth brick, I told them broke ni***as "Get behind me" (Stove)

My twenty-third brick, I turned everyone Siamese (Woo)
By my fifty-fifth pickup, n***a, I felt like Bronny (Woo)
It doesn't take much to understand this reference, but in case you're missing it, it talks about LeBron James' son Bronny being picked with the No. 55 selection in the 2024 NBA Draft and likening that to rapper picking up a package or payment for the fifty-fifth time. The song continues with Stove God Cooks and Boldy James, then James alone before Benny the Butcher closes it out with the sixth verse.
This isn't the first time some of these artists have namedropped members of the James family. Even Benny the Butcher directly dropped a song called 'BRON' in reference to the LA Lakers superstar in his 2024 album 'Everybody Can't Go.'
Benny referenced James winning a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers and then leaving the city with his family to go win a title somewhere else (:39 mark):
And I'm 'Bron
After the chip, I told my folks back home, "So long"
I move my family and my bricks to a place where it's warm
I'm back in championship condition
I can't resist all this winnin'
It's like me and success built a bond
