Chris Paul continues his streak of most career starts without coming off the bench

Chris Paul will make his debut for the Golden State Warriors tonight when they take on his former team, the Phoenix Suns. CP3 is expected to start due to an injury to Draymond Green's ankle which has kept him sidelined through the preseason and a huge part of training camp.

Many have speculated about Steve Kerr's starting lineup since the Warriors acquired Paul. However, the opening night lineup appears to be set at the moment, despite Draymond Green missing some time.

With Chris Paul starting for the Golden State Warriors, he continues his streak of games without coming off the bench. According to StatMuse, he has played in 1,214 career games and has started in every single one of them. When he starts for the Warriors tonight, he will make it 1,215 NBA career starts.

Chris Paul stands as the only player who has played in over 1,000 career games without ever coming off the bench even once. This streak could eventually come to an end once Draymond Green is cleared to play and Kerr tries to experiment with his lineups but right now, Paul continues to add to his incredible number of games played without coming off the bench.

Looking back at Chris Paul's illustrious career

Chris Paul started his career back in the 2005-06 season when he was drafted fourth overall by the New Orleans when they were still known as the Hornets.

From his rookie year, he showed everyone what to expect from him with 16.1 points, 7.8 assists, and 5.1 rebounds. He earned the Rookie of the Year honors in 2006.

Since then, Paul has continued to put up incredible numbers. Regardless of which team he joins, he is able to elevate his teammates and make a team better. He has contributed mainly with his incredible court vision and his uncanny ability to force turnovers.

For his career, he has been the NBA's assists leader five times (2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2022). Paul has also been the steals leader six times (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014).

He has been a 12-time All-Star and was crowned as the All-Star game MVP once in 2013. The only thing still missing from CP3's collection of awards is a championship and he is hoping to get that with the Golden State Warriors.
