Basketball fans found themselves split in the longevity debate between Chris Paul and LeBron James after Paul delivered a vintage performance on Saturday. In his 20th NBA season, Paul recorded a double-double to help the San Antonio Spurs secure a 113-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The No. 4 pick of the 2005 draft put up 15 points, four rebounds and 13 assists, shooting an efficient 55% from the field to lead the Spurs to their third win of the season.
After the former LA Clippers star’s standout performance, fans sparked a debate on Paul versus LeBron’s longevity, with some giving the edge to Paul and others favoring LeBron.
"Maturing is realizing CP3’s longevity is more impressive than Bron’s," a fan wrote.

"Absolutely. It’s much more impressive to last this long as a 6 foot POINT GUARD. Pure skill," wrote another user.
"Crazy that it’s not even close either tbh. People don’t realize how hard it is to be undersized and not have crazy athleticism to rely on. Bron has always had the build for a long career, CP3 never has. Bron is still wildly impressive though," another X user said.
Meanwhile, some fans firmly asserted that LeBron is far ahead of CP3 when it comes to longevity.
"He’s younger got drafted a year after and lebron has been better every year they have been in the league with more playoff success obviously," a fan wrote.
"LeBron is older and has played way more games and has consistently played at a higher level Cp3 wasn’t that good the last two seasons," said a fan.
"(Chris Paul) has never been a better player than bron in his entire career despite entering the league a year after him," said another.
