Dennis Schroder complains of being "very aggressively" handcuffed after he was detained by Los Angeles police

The vehicle transporting Dennis Schroder was pulled over by Los Angeles police hours after the LA Lakers beat the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.

TMZ reported that the "stop was initiated after the vehicle allegedly had improper plates." TMZ also reported that a citation for improper plates was issued, although the outlet was unsure if Schroder or the driver of his Sprinter van was given the citation.

Schroder said on his YouTube channel that the license plates on the Sprinter were from a Cadillac he had sold, leading to the confusion.

Schroder documented the incident on his YouTube channel. Initially, Schroder, who said he was undergoing routine rehabilitation in the back of his Sprinter when the vehicle was pulled over, said he and his driver thought the police were just trying to pass them. However, they eventually told them to pull the vehicle over.

The police made everyone exit the vehicle so they could inspect it, Schroder said. The NBA guard said that the police put handcuffs on him "very aggressively" upon leaving the van after "I did everything they said and followed their instructions."

Schroder said there were "almost 30 police cars at the end."

Eventually, the cops, who initially suspected that the vehicle might have been stolen, found the discrepancy and let Schroder go on his way peacefully.

"Then, they found the error, and everything was fine ... then everything was settled," Schroder said. "Becuase usually when something like this happens, it's stolen vehicles. But that wasn't the case here. It was crazy. Luckily, nothing happened to anyone. We came home safely."

TMZ reported that "it all seemed cordial" and that "video shows Schroder was allowed to leave the scene without any issue."
