On Thursday night, Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves took the court looking to keep their season alive. Following some bold comments postgame, one former champion shared his thoughts on the emerging superstar.

The Denver Nuggets pulled off three straight wins after going down 2-0, but the Timberwolves stopped their momentum in a big way. On their home floor, they pulled off a 115-70 win in Game 6 to force a Game 7.

During his media availability, Anthony Edwards was asked about something he said to Nuggets arena workers. He told them after Game 5 that he'd see them again for Game 7.

Clips of Edwards' remark have gone viral on social media and earned a response from Andrew Bogut. The former NBA champion said he never wants to see the young star lose his vibrant personality.

"Please Lord don’t let Edwards become NBA PR washed!" Bogut said.

Edwards played a key role in the Timberwolves blowout win over the Nuggets in Game 6. He logged 34 minutes and finished with a stat line of 27 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Game 7 between the Nuggets and Timberwolves is slated for Sunday. The time is still to be determined.

NBA analyst siding with Anthony Edwards over Nikola Jokic in Game 7

Andrew Bogut is not the only person who has been impressed with Anthony Edwards' attitude as of late. One analyst is siding with the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 7.

While on ESPN's "First Take," Kendrick Perkins shared his thoughts on how this series will end. Even though Nikola Jokic appears to be locked in, he feels Edwards is capable of going toe-to-toe with him.

"I don't give a damn about Jokic having a look in his eyes," Perkins said. "Because you know why? They got somebody on the other side of the floor that's going to look him dead in the eyes as well and has the same look. And his name is Anthony Edwards."

Perkins also applauded Edwards for his two-way play in this series. Along with having some big scoring outings, he has helped slow down Jamal Murray as well.

If Minnesota wants to advance to the conference finals, they will need a strong outing from Edwards. Jokic has turned things up as of late and isn't going to let his team roll over. The three-time MVP came alive in Game 5, notching 40 points and 13 rebounds in a win.

Over the past few weeks, there have been endless conversations about Edwards becoming the next face of the league. Stepping up in a Game 7 against the defending champions will help him further stake his claim.
