Donald Trump has increased the security around “major sporting events,” starting at the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday. According to reports, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will monitor the event.
Non-U.S. citizens must "carry proof of legal status while attending the event," tweeted Olga Nesterova, a former UN diplomat.

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a full or partial travel ban on travelers from 19 countries. The ban could impact the FIFA Club World Cup and other major sporting events in the country. The Athletic wrote about what it could mean for teams and players competing in Miami.
