Draymond Green has been around the league for 11 seasons now. During his 11-year tenure, Green established himself to become one of the Golden State Warriors' key players.

His defense and grittiness on the court are some of the things the Warriors organization likes about him. Green managed to become an NBA All-Star four times for always doing the dirty work on the floor.

With that said, Green was able to increase his value as a player. During his first few years with the Warriors, Green had humble beginnings. He signed a three-year contract worth $2.64 million, averaging around $880,248 per year.

In his first three seasons, Green proved to be a future elite defender in the league. He averaged 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and nearly one block per game.

Thanks to his defensive efforts, the Warriors decided to reward him with a bigger contract. In 2015, Green signed a five-year contract worth $82 million, averaging $16.4 million per year. He made over $15 million more per year compared to his first contract. Not only was it well deserved, but he also backed it up with his game.

In the first year of his big contract, Draymond Green immediately played his best season to date. Green averaged 14 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. To make things even better, he also helped the Warriors win their first championship since 1975. Everything went Green's way as he earned his first big contract, won his first title, and made his first All-Star game.

The following season of his five-year contract, Green's scoring figures began to drop as he focused more on defense. Since the 2016-2019 season, he averaged 9.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks. Green won his only Defensive Player of the Year award in the 2016-17 NBA season wherein he averaged 7.9 rebounds, two steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.

Looking at Draymond Green now, he's definitely still a solid defender for the Warriors. It may no longer be as elite as it once was, however, having him in the squad is surely a difference-maker.
