Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green recently shared his experience of winning a fourth title with the Warriors last season. In an interview with TNT's Taylor Rooks, Green expressed what the win meant to him.

The 2022 Golden State Warriors were nothing short of inspiring. While the Warriors had already established themselves as one of the most formidable dynasties in NBA history, the team were undoubtedly seeing the sun set on their empire.

However, the Dubs still had a lot to prove heading into the season. Prior to 2022, the Warriors had missed the playoffs for two consecutive seasons due to injuries and a shorthanded roster.

Additionally, Golden State faced more criticism for this failure due to the fact that Kevin Durant left for Brooklyn in the summer of 2019. Overall, the Warriors were widely regarded as finished.

In light of this, it is evident why the 2022 championship meant so much to the Warriors and the veteran trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

While the emotion was visible on their faces when they lifted the trophy, Green recently expressed how much the win meant to him. In an interview with Taylor Rooks, Green highlighted what each title represented. He responded by saying:

"The first one was disbelief. I'll never forget like 10 games into the season, we all looking at each other like, 'Hey, we can win a championship.'
"The 2017 was like, with KD coming here, you know, like, we cannot lose. First, we were the good guys. The jump-shooting team will never win. Now, all of a sudden, 'Oh, we're the super villains?'." 2018, I feel like that one was kind of like the icing on the cake for all of it. Like, let's go do it again."

Things went smoothly until then. However, Green shifted the momentum in a matter of seconds when talking about the fourth ring. He said:

"The fourth one was like the biggest f**k you. I'm not even sure if I can curse but that's- I have no better way of explaining it. That was 'F**k you' to everybody."

Green summed up his thoughts quite eloquently. As Golden State added a fourth trophy to their cabinet, they also immortalized themselves in NBA history.

However, the Warriors are still in pursuit of another ring. While they're in an unfavorable position to defend the title, Golden State are tough to count out when put in the playoff picture.

Heading into a Finals rematch against the Boston Celtics on Thursday, the Dubs will be tested yet again at TD Garden.

Draymond Green believes the Warriors can win it again

The Golden State Warriors recently made their visit to the White House, as is customary for NBA champions. While Steph Curry gave an impressive speech and Draymond Green followed up with comments regarding Curry's run for the presidency, Green alluded to another title as well.

While speaking with Madeline Kenney of The Mercury News, Green proposed that he was looking forward to returning to the White House again next year. He said:

"It's been a very great visit and looking forward to coming back next year."

The Warriors' chances of doing so are looking slim. However, given the championship pedigree on the roster, it is hard to pull Golden State out of the title race.
