LA Lakers fans were excited to see a few of their young players commit to their bodies and remain in shape despite their early offseason. Coach JJ Redick wanted every one of his players to enter next season in "championship shape" in hopes of taking another title to Hollywood.
In an Instagram post, Trey Jemison shared some pictures of how his offseason is going. He's been working out hard ahead of free agency since he'll be a free agent at the end of the month.
One of the photos showed Jemison with Dalton Knecht looking leaner, along with a few trainers and fellow two-way contract player, Christian Kaloko, who is also set to become a free agent. The trio was in the gym, following a workout, seemingly taking Redick's comments about getting into "championship shape."

LA Lakers fans were pleased to see some of their young players take JJ Redick's words to heart, despite knowing they might not be back next season. Christian Kaloko and Trey Jemison are expected to enter free agency, while Dalton Knecht's name has been tied to trade rumors.
Nevertheless, here are some of the best reactions.
The LA Lakers fell short of their expectations in the offseason. After a promising finish in the regular season as the third seed, they crashed out and were eliminated in five games by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Following their exit, JJ Redick called out his players and expected them to enter next season in "championship shape." LeBron James has always been in top condition, while some fans will point to Luka Doncic, who has gone viral recently for looking like he'll be in shape this offseason.
Young center might be too pricey for the Lakers to acquire
The LA Lakers have been linked to many centers since the February trade deadline. One of those players was Walker Kessler of the Utah Jazz. The Athletic's Jovan Buha shared an update on the Jazz's asking price, which could be too expensive for Rob Pelinka and the front office.
"Going back to last season, I reported that the Lakers had had interest in Walker previously," Buha said. "And they had inquired about him to the Jazz, and the feedback they got was the starting price, not the final price. The starting price was the equivalent of two-plus first-round picks."
From 3:24 onward.
Buha explained that there might be a way if the Jazz are interested in Dalton Knecht and just one first-round pick. However, the insider thought that Kessler is an unrealistic target for the purple and gold.
