Former LA Lakers star Trevor Ariza has been accused of ‘abusive behavior’ by his former wife Bree Anderson during a deposition for their ongoing divorce proceedings.

The Canadian International won the 2009 NBA title with the LA Lakers but has recently been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Ariza was initially accused of physically assaulting his wife Bree, leading to her attorney Samantha Spector asking the court to sanction Ariza. The incident took place on March 23rd, according to Radar Online.

According to the Bree’s lawyer, Ariza allegedly told one of the attorneys “Bro, you got dandruff on your jacket.” He was also accused of making comment such as “Your mommy said don’t talk to him” and “bad lady” while speaking to another attorney.

Finally, he also told one of the lawyers, “your mom is keeping us on the record” and “you have a cleft clip? “during questioning.

According to RadarOnline.com, Specter claimed Trevor Ariza’s conduct “is only meant to further delay these proceedings, intimidate Bree, and cause Bree to incur significant fees.”

Bree Anderson recently claimed that the former Houston Rockets, LA Lakers and Miami Heat player had physically assaulted her multiple times. Anderson also has a lot of evidence and photos supporting her claims.

The couple share two children together and have been fighting over their custody. Bree Anderson’s lawyers want Ariza to pay spousal and child support, apart from around $275k that she has spent in legal proceedings.

Apart from primary custody of their children, Bree Anderson also wants Ariza to pay her a substantial amount so that she can continue to “live lavishly.”

According to Anderson, Trevor Ariza might use the fact that he is no longer working as an excuse to get out of making payments. However, she claims that Ariza has millions invested into businesses, and earned around $2 to 15 million during an NBA career that started with the Knicks in 2004 and ended with the LA Lakers in 2022.

She also claimed that Ariza had assets worth around $8.4 million. Trevor had multiple problems with the above and did not want to pay any spousal support, apart from maintaining his demand for joint custody.

Trevor Ariza currently does not have custody of his kids and only has visitation rights, at least until the hearings are completed. While Bree Anderson has graphic evidence of abuse, Trevor has made his own claims in the past and maintains that his ex-wife was the abusive one during their relationship.
