Ex-NBA executive thinks Scoot Henderson will have a better career than Victor Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson are the expected first two picks in this year's NBA draft. While Wembanyama might be the most hyped prospect since LeBron James, Henderson could have gone first overall if it was a different draft class.

But despite what most people are saying about Wembanyama and Henderson, a former NBA executive has a different take. The exec told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype that Henderson will have a better career than Wembanyama when it's all said and done.

"Wembanyama will go No. 1 in the draft, but Scoot may have the better overall career when we look back 15 years from now," the exec said.

Victor Wembanyama has been praised by executives, scouts, analysts, legends and players. Wembanyama is already being compared to players such as Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo. LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson even recently called him the best player in the world.

Wembanyama has been described as a generational talent due to his combination of size and skill. He stands at 7-foot-3 with an insane wingspan of almost 8 feet. He can handle the basketball and shoot 3-point shots like a guard, but his length makes him a great defensive player.

Meanwhile, Scoot Henderson has drawn comparisons to former MVPs such as Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose. Some scouts even compared him to John Wall and Donovan Mitchell.

Henderson is just 6-2 but has the explosiveness and quickness to become successful in the NBA. He has elite-level athleticism and high basketball IQ for his age.

Victor Wembanyama and LeBron James called the two most hyped prospects ever

The NBA can't wait to see Victor Wembanyama join the party next season. Wembanyama has lived up to the hype after showcasing his skills against Scoot Henderson and the NBA G League Ignite Team last summer.

Wembanyama's hype is warranted, and some talent scouts even put him alongside LeBron James as two of the most hyped prospects in NBA history. Here's what an NBA executive told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype:

"When you talk about LeBron, if you have the type of body that allows you to do what you do against anyone, that's an advantage. Victor can get his shot over anyone, which is an advantage, but there's a lack of physicality. LeBron could bully you and get to the rim, and his passing and playmaking were at a whole other level. I don't think Victor's on that level of a prospect, but I think he's the next best thing."
