Following a rollercoaster season that ended in a play-in tournament loss to the Sacramento Kings, Draymond Green has spent his offseason doing his podcasts and being a guest analyst at TNT's "Inside the NBA."
However, Green's broadcasting style has not fared well with the public, even if it is under a show that features Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson.
Originally, the "Inside the NBA" crew is composed of the usual four and would sometimes include a former or current player of the league. Additionally, they are sometimes part of the broadcasting crew alongside Kevin Harlan and Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller.

Following Green's appearance in TNT's Game 4 coverage of the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks, Bring Me The News' Tony Liebert didn't mince words when he shared his reception on X.

In response to the post, several NBA fans shared their reactions.
"It's like they're trying to tank the show on the way out."
X user GhostofRolandBishop (@escoemartinez) argued that TNT might have confused podcast hosting with analyst potential on TV.
"They still haven't figured out that every player with a podcast does not need to be on TV," the fan posted.
Meanwhile, X user Aegon (@RobertPet73) highlighted that "Inside the NBA" didn't rely on criticizing everything they see in the game like other sports broadcast channels.
"Completely accurate. He has no sense of pacing and is part of the First Take style argue everything media culture. This show was never that, which is what makes it great. He kills that dynamic and just agitates," the fan posted.
Additionally, X user Bush (@Bushizzle21) shared his lack of enthusiasm with the show once it finally wraps up for good.
"Well, this is one way to get us to not miss Inside the NBA after it's gone," the fan posted.
Moreover, X user Dynasty Dawgs (@nickC25477119) argued that Draymond Green lacks the experience and knowledge to be a proper TV sports analyst.
"He doesn't understand the role of a tv sports analyst, constantly cutting the other guys off and throwing in his comments. I attribute it to his experience with his podcast where he can ramble on for as long as he wants to," the fan posted.
X user Kevin Johnson (@kevinosaur10) questioned the target audience of Draymond Green being included in the "Inside the NBA" crew.
"Yeah who is this for? Like are there people out there like, 'Oh Draymond is on TNT, now I'm going to tune in,'" the fan posted.
Be that as it may, it remains to be seen if Draymond Green will be a staple guest host on the show.
Phoenix Suns announcer criticizes Draymond Green for on-air criticism of Rudy Gobert
Aside from fans, Phoenix Suns announcer Eddie Johnson was also critical of what he was seeing from Draymond Green on live television. His post was in response to a video clip that showcased the Warriors forward clapping back at Minnesota fans in the arena for "Draymond sucks" chants. He then proceeded to say "Rudy sucks, what did I do?" which Johnson was not too fond of.
"You cannot let your jealousy of a man who has four DPOY to your one, cloud your professionalism on national TV as an employed analyst," Johnson posted. "A current player ripping another for personal reasons who is in a conference final and you are hired to talk about the game is wrong."
The color commentator is aware of the importance of putting one's bias aside when it comes to talking live on television. Upon Draymond Green's strong comments during a segment of the show, while the crew was also interviewing Mavericks star Luka Doncic, it was not a good look from Johnson's perspective.
His persona on the court is not for every NBA fan out there, and interestingly enough, it also translated to how he presents himself on live TV.
