A number of NBA fans took to Twitter after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-114.

The Golden State Warriors were without their three major stars in the form of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. However, Jordan Poole led the scoring with 32 points in a match where the Warriors finished each quarter in the lead. Fans not only commended the team for pulling off an unlikely victory over a strong team but also seemed surprised at how it took place.

The Warriors have relied heavily on Stephen Curry's heroics, though Jordan Poole's form has also been crucial. They are currently competing for a playoff spot and are ranked sixth in the Western Conference. With each win having the potential to count, the team will be overjoyed with the victory.

Here is how fans reacted:

Golden State Warriors pull off a commendable win against Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the season's top surprises in the NBA. They have a talented young core with a number of future superstars and were without their top scorer Donovan Mitchell against the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, have an aging core with their top stars hoping to lead them to another championship this season. However, they must first ensure that they qualify for the postseason. For the Warriors to have a chance to defend their title, their young players must step up in big games, as fans witnessed today.

Apart from Poole, Ty Jerome finished with 12 points and 8 assists, while Donte DiVincenzo had 17. Kevon Looney also had an impressive stat line of 4 points, 4 assists, and 17 rebounds while both Anthony Lamb(12 points on 4-8 FGM-A off the bench) and JaMychal Green(13 points on 5-10 FGM-A off the bench) made important contributions from off the bench. The Warriors ended up hitting 23 3-pointers in the game without Stephen Curry!

For the Cavaliers, Darius Garland continued his impressive form and top-scored for his team with a double-double of 31 points and 10 assists. Caris LeVert(22 points on 7-16 FGM-A) and Evan Mobley(17 points on 7-12 FGM-A) also made decent contributions, but the Cavaliers’ inability to break down defenses in the absence of Donovan Mitchell can prove to be an issue.

Regardless, Golden State Warriors fans will not be concerned and will be happy with their team’s important victory. The Warriors will now take up another big challenge against the Brooklyn Nets before they come up with some easier fixtures.
